
Sahana is an energy professional with experience in the clean transportation and clean energy sectors. In the clean transportation sector, she specializes in policy advocacy, research, EV charging and its grid integration, bi-directional charging, fleet electrification and supply-side policies. Along with providing technical advice to national and state governments, she has authored reports, guidebooks, approach papers, technical articles and blogs on clean transportation.
Sahana began her career in clean transportation with EY and later worked at GIZ India on their flagship regional program on transport decarbonization. Recognizing her contribution to the electric mobility sector, she was awarded the Technical Consulting Leader of the Year by EMobility+ in 2022.
Sahana completed her Master’s degree in Renewable Energy Engineering and Management from TERI School of Advanced Studies. During her master’s dissertation research at National Institute of Wind Energy, she published a scientific paper on impact of soiling on energy yield of solar photovoltaic power plant and developing soiling correction factor for solar power forecasting. Sahana also holds a post-graduate diploma in Transmission and Distribution Systems from National Power Training Institute, Bengaluru.
