
Pallavi is a renewable energy and public policy professional with nearly eight years of experience specializing in distributed renewable energy (DRE) technologies, government liaising, stakeholder engagement, project coordination, and community-driven energy solutions.
At NRDC India, she supports initiatives at the intersection of renewable energy and climate change, facilitating key collaborations with the Ministry of New and Renewable Energy (MNRE) to accelerate clean energy adoption, promote gender-inclusive climate solutions, and strengthen policy frameworks. Pallavi has previously worked with organizations such as the Clean Energy Access Network (CLEAN) and IIT Bombay.
At CLEAN, she led engagements with MNRE, worked closely on the development of standard specifications for DRE appliances, India Renewable Energy Appliances Portal and supported policy integration efforts to strengthen decentralized energy access. Her work with IIT Bombay was with the institution’s Solar Urja through Localization for Sustainability initiative where she worked on grassroot projects such as the Million Solar Urja Lamp Program - one of India’s largest clean energy grassroots campaigns. She also worked on the 70 lakh solar study lamps Scheme and the Gandhi Global Solar Yatra’s Student Solar Ambassador Workshop - a global renewable energy campaign that engaged over one million students and earned two Guinness World Records for holding the largest environmental sustainability lessons.
Pallavi holds a Post Graduate Diploma in Public Policy and Sustainable Development from TERI School of Advanced Studies and has a Bachelor’s degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering.
