Akhil comes with a wealth of experience in renewable energy technologies, regulatory and policy development, green hydrogen and its derivatives, and pumped storage projects, with a strong focus on enabling market reforms and strengthening regulatory frameworks at both central and state levels. He has supported Central and State Electricity Regulatory Commissions, as well as the Forum of Regulators, on tariff design, regulatory impact analysis, stakeholder consultations, and institutional capacity building.

Previously, Akhil worked with RTI International under the USAID SAREP Program, supporting the Ministry of Power, Ministry of New and Renewable Energy, and other South Asian countries on green hydrogen, power sector reforms, renewable energy initiatives, and stakeholder capacity development. He has also worked with Ernst & Young and ABPS Infrastructure Advisory on a range of power sector assignments spanning regulation, policy, and technical due diligence.

An Electrical Engineer with and an MBA in Power Management, Akhil brings a multidisciplinary approach to projects across clean energy transition, regulatory support, and project development.
